The summer program is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 17 (17 year olds must still be in high school) and the child or grandchild of a Yakima Elks Lodge #318 member.

The cost is $85 and includes 6 Fridays of golf from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Lunch will be served following play and the Junior Golf Club will host an end of the year banquet for the summer program members.

Golfers will be grouped according to skill level.  Beginners will play 2 holes, intermediate golfers will play 5 holes, and advance golfers will play 9 holes.  Prior to play juniors will participate in group lessons on the driving range and putting green.

2 Hole Flight (Beginners)

Weekly Check in @ 9:15 AM

1. Play according to USGA Rules of Golf with the following exceptions:
   1. No sand shots, golfers take drop to any grassy spot
   2. Do not count more than 5 misses on any one shot
2. Boys must score 12 or below and Girls must score 14 or below for 2 weeks in a row to move up to the 5 hole flight (score kept by volunteer)

5 Hole Flight (Intermediate)

Weekly Check in @ 8:45 AM

1. Play according to USGA Rules of Golf
2. Boys must score 30 or below and Girls must score 33 or below for 2 weeks in a row to move up to the 9 hole flight (score kept by volunteer)

9 Hole Flight (Advanced)

Weekly Check in @ 8:15 AM

1. Play according to USGA Rules of Golf
2. Players keep score

Golfers & volunteers are required to adhere to Yakima Elks #318 dress code.

Volunteers are critical to the success of the program.

The parent or grandparent of a junior golfer is required to participate as a volunteer for at least two days.

Volunteering opportunities include working at the check-in and scoring tables, driving range, putting green, and also participating as a walker.
